Chantal Pierrat
Chantal Pierrat founded SoulSweat™ in 2003 to fulfill her desire to dance funky, sweat hard, and energize her spirit. Chantal has been dancing for most of her life; her classes reflect her extensive background in ballet, jazz, modern dance, and yoga, as well as her exposure to alternative dance forms such as African, Latin, hip-hop, house, and the international rave scene. She has an innate capacity to connect unabashedly with the transformative power of movement, and this is her intention with every class she teaches. In 2002, Chantal completed the NIA White Belt certification, an important influence in the creation and development of SoulSweat™, and now she teaches SoulSweat™ at the Alchemy of Movement Studio and RallySport Health and Fitness in Boulder, Colorado. In addition to her regular classes, Chantal offers workshops and trainings to students who want to deepen their dance experience, as well as to those who are interested in becoming SoulSweat™ teachers.
In addition to her commitment to SoulSweat™, Chantal is the vice-president of sales and marketing at Sounds True, a publishing company in Louisville, Colorado dedicated to awakening spirituality across the globe. She and her husband live in Boulder with their two sons.

Lucy Wallace
Lucy has been teaching SoulSweat™ since April of 2007, after a long haitus from dancing in her twenties. She started Ballet at eight years old, dabbled in Jazz during High School and later focused on Modern as a Dance major during college. The joy and release she discovered in SoulSweat™ reminded her of the little bit of Jazz she loved growing up. Her choreography stems from her experience as a trained dancer while celebrating the freedom of movement through SoulSweat™. In one class you may be folk dancing, stomping to strong drum beats or punching to pop music. The varied choreography is coupled with diverse musical genres.
Lucy is in her final year at Naropa University getting her Master's in Transpersonal Psychology. She also provides care for elderly clients in the Boulder area.

Hannah Kinderlehrer
Hannah has been dancing her whole life she began choreographing dances for her sisters and cousins at age 5. She has studied African, modern, contact improvisation, salsa and jazz. What Hannah loves most about SoulSweat™ is its ability to transform emotions into expression and create complete unadulterated joy in the mindbody. Hannah's classes are an eclectic mix of funk, world, hip-hop, electronica, pop and everything in between. She focuses on fostering connection to the body and heart, creative healing movement, community and having a rockin' sloppy-fun time. When not dancing Hannah is mothering her toddler, playing in community, meditating, volunteering, working odd jobs and figuring out what she wants to be when she grows up and wondering how she got so lucky to live in beautiful Boulder!

Emily Horowitz
Emily started dancing around the same time that she began walking. Throughout her school years Emily took dance classes in ballet, modern dance, jazz and tap. After an extended dance-class-hiatus where she only danced in crowds at clubs and concerts, Emily returned to dance in 2003 when she became a regular student of NIA. When Emily encountered SoulSweat™ in Boulder, she fell head over heels in love. Emily's teaching style encompasses her joy and passion for ecstatic movement, her sense of humor, and her reverence for the sacred connection between the mind, body and spirit. Her greatest hope is that students in her classes connect more deeply to themselves through their experience of empowered movement.
In addition to teaching SoulSweat in Rochester, NY, Emily has a degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology and focuses her private practice on supporting new and expecting parents and families with young children. She can also be found rocking out to great music in the living room with her young daughter and husband, who are both inspiring dance-companions!

Mandy Dean
Mandy’s passion for dance and music was obvious from an early age. Whether toddling across the living room coffee table or unabashedly twirling at blue grass festivals, her orientation toward rhythm and movement was irresistible. As a child in Memphis, she enjoyed classical piano, ballet, and modern dance performance. Later, she layered in jazz, gymnastics, track and other sports. During her college years, she broadened her knowledge of modern dance, choreography, and linguistics. In Boulder, she discovered SoulSweat™, NIA, and other mind/body/soul movement forms. Mandy has twin boys and is an acute care speech pathologist at Longmont United Hospital. She earned her SoulSweat™ certification from Chantal Pierrat and has taught SoulSweat™ at Alchemy of Movement, RallySport, and Mountain’s Edge Fitness since summer 2007. She currently teaches at Alchemy of Movement and Mountain’s Edge Fitness. Her classes reflect her passion for and background in music and dance. Mandy’s approach to SoulSweat™ reflects her belief of the power of movement and music to nurture passionate living and cultivate our innate sensuality and self-empowerment. |
